With the ancient name of \u201cHydrousa\u201d, meaning an area with abundant water, Andros with its diversity meets the needs of every traveler. Here one encounters small forests, fertile valleys, numerous beaches, continuous flowing ravines, waterfalls and springs on almost every slope and valley. More than 1\/3 of the island\u2019s surface is designated Natura and a wildlife sanctuary, where rare and endemic species of flora and fauna are housed. At the same time, the International Andros Festival, which has been held with great success every summer since 2015, is a pole of attraction in the summer
